FIS 100 Introduction to Film (3 credits)
Introduction to the historical development of film as art. Considers the development of cinematic techniques (i.e., cinematography, editing, sound, etc.), cinematic genres (i.e., the western, romantic comedy, etc.) and narrative elements (i.e., plot, character, conflict, etc.) as exemplified by the work of major American and international directors. /[Fine Arts Course, meets general education requirement]
