Enroll Now: Winter and Short-term Classes

Finish degree requirements with short-term classes & pathways

Enroll Now: Winter and short-term classes.Winter and spring semester registration is underway at Great Basin College. For the best selection of courses, GBC recommends students enroll early.

Winter session courses will begin Dec. 19 and end on Jan. 21. Winter session courses allow students to complete a condensed course during a non-traditional semester.

All courses will be instructed online and include:

  • ENG 101: Composition I
  • ENG: 102 Composition II
  • IS 101: Introduction to Information Systems
  • PSC 100: The Nevada Constitution
  • PSC 101: Introduction to American Politics
  • PSC 210: American Public Policy
  • THTR 100: Introduction to Theatre

GBC is also offering a selection of short-term classes. Short-term classes are offered during two 8-week sessions during the regular spring semester. The first session courses will run Jan. 23 – March 18. The second session will run March 27-May 20.

Subjects offered during the 8-week sessions include Anthropology, Computer Office Technology, Education, Information Systems, Math, Political Science and Theatre.

The Math department is also offering short-term Math Pathways, allowing students to complete two required math courses in one semester. For the spring semester, students can enroll in the following 8-week math courses at the same time:

  • 1st session: Math 91 section 1003 and 1006 with
    • 2nd session: Math 95 section 1003 and 1009
  • 1st session: Math 95 section 1006 with
    • 2nd session: Math 96 section 1004
  • 1st session: Math 96 section 1005 with
    • 2nd session: Math 120 section 1004 or Math 126 section 1006.
