MET 102 Introduction to Metallurgical Engineering II (1-2 credits)The course acquaints students with the fundamentals of extractive metallurgy processes. Lectures on the course provide students with the knowledge of the key concepts of mineral processing, extraction and purifying metals from ores obtained through mining operations as well as secondary resources. Freshman year experience course to include development of analytical skills in spreadsheets on process flowcharts relating to mining, minerals, metals, mineral processing, metallurgical operations and basic engineering principals are covered.
Prerequisite: Must have completed MET 101.
