Great Basin College wants to be your choice for higher education. GBC offers associate and baccalaureate level instruction in career and technical education and academic areas. About 4,000 students are enrolled annually online from across the country and on campuses and centers across 86,500 square miles, two time zones, and ten of Nevada's largest counties. We border Arizona, Oregon, Idaho, Utah, and California. We are GBC!

Software and Hardware Discounts
GBC students and employees may receive discounts for purchases of computing software.
Faculty members can download and install Windows Office for home use for a nominal fee. Contact Dwaine Hiles at 775.327.2190 for the contract number.
Available for students is Open Office software, which has nearly all the same features as Windows Office and creates Office-compatible files. Anyone can download it free or it can be purchased from the Controller's Office for a small fee that simply covers the creation of a CD. (Classes in specific MS Office products will require the use of the Microsoft version, but for all other purposes, OpenOffice should be more than adequate for coursework needs.)
Students and faculty can purchase from a large selection of software online at greatly reduced rates. Check the GBC Bookstore's website for computing products.
