Great Basin College offers high school students opportunities to:
Earn high school and college credits at the same time,
thereby getting a jump start on college while completing high school, through the Dual Enrollment program.
Take GBC classes while attending high school
and earn college credits. Not all classes can be applied for dual credit, but if you are qualified to take classes,
they may allow you to get a head start on your college degree!
Check the Schedule of Courses for your location.
For Distance Education courses, during fall and spring semesters, Nevada high school students only pay $50 per interactive video or internet course, plus fees, if applicable. This reduced rate is not available during summer term.
Earn college credits for selected high school classes
via the Tech Prep program, described on the CTE College Credit website. Click the button below to view information about exciting career opportunities available via GBC.
Notice to Students and Parents
High school students enrolled at GBC are treated like all college students, as adults. Students, and not parents/guardians, are responsible for filing appropriate forms, paying fees, purchasing books, resolving concerns with instructors, completing class assignments, and accessing grades. Advisers are available to all students to assist with questions. All fees are due before classes begin.
Notice to Parents
Federal privacy law does not allow GBC staff to release information to parents.
