The ABE/ESL/GED program at Great Basin College is a long standing Department that has assisted thousands of adult students to learn English, improve basic skills, obtain a GED, gain citizenship, matriculate into College classes and meet their life's goals.  As a Department, we work hard to ensure that we meet every student's needs by completing an individual interview and assessing long and short term goals.  Students are placed in their appropriate level with the use of a pre-post test system.

All of our programs are FREE to qualifying students.   Our only requirements are that you be at least 18 years of age and willing to dedicate time and attention to your studies.

Note: The Adult Learning Center building in Elko also houses the Adult High School Diploma Program, which the college supports in cooperation with Elko County School District.
